The trails Pod Smrkem (Singltrek pod Smrkem) are unique in central Europe. This expertly designed network of off-road cycling trails has been built and maintained according to exacting standards and with minimal impact on the surrounding environment. The network was built in three stages and currently offers nearly 80km of exciting riding. The trails are one-way only and categorized according to difficulty by colors, similar to ski trails. Cyclists can choose, based on their abilities, from loops of various lengths. Complete beginners as well as advanced riders will find something to their liking. The project is the joint work of the communities Nové Město pod Smrkem, Lázně Libverda, Frýdlant, and of the state firm Lesy ČR (Czech Forests), which financed the entire network with help from the EU. The non-profit organization Singltrek pod Smrkem o.p.s. handles the operation and maintenance of the trails and provided financial support for our bike center.
According to the international organization IMBA, our trails are among the seven best MTB destinations in the world.
